Starting Musical Transitions

Tonight we start work on the scene transitions. We will be doing a read through and determining what scenes need musical transitions and the ones that don't. We won't get done tonight or be even close but I hope to make it a very productive start to this part of the project. Time to get creative. InnocentMusical.com

The Website has been purchased and launched. InnocentMusical.com Next on the agenda is to create some kind of schedule to get all the parts moving.

Innocent Musical Update

Innocent Update:
We talked to a good friend of mine last Thursday about copyright law and procedure. This went well and to our amazement the process should be easier than expected. We will be submitting our copyright this evening when we meet back up with Brant.Brant has also agreed to come on board to work on PR/Marketing and do some Agent work for the show. I am very excited to have him behind the show and willing to help it succeed.

The script for Innocent is finished in rough draft format and will change here and there once we do some casting and get into the flow of the show. We are still working on adding in cues, adding blocking and lighting but we are very happy with everything thus far.

I started working on music transition ideas last night and I think that we will have an easier time than expected coming up with vamping music for backgrounds of scenes and trasitions. Time will tell though and I hope to see more things on the music side start happening soon.

Practice 1 & Progress

Saturday 7/11/09 was the first get together with some of the musicians that are going to be working on the show. It went very well. We were able to listen to all the songs and between Tim Harmon & Steve Helsel we were able to hear out all the songs for the show. With the success of this past practice I am feeling very confident that we are moving in the right direction.

Update on the script:
The script is primarily done....that's right. We did some work this past saturday and I Would like to say it is probably 80% complete. There will be edits along the way ecspecially when we go into a workshop/early script reading mode. The next thing I am looking forward to doing is getting the updated script to Andrew Variell to begin working on blocking & lighting details.

The show is coming together and with its progress it is creating new ideas that will improve things. There is still a ways to go but there is a lot to look forward to.

It Has Started

This past weekend had good news and good times. Last Thursday I discussed things with a good friend who is very excited to be a part of "Innocent". Mr. Variell is a dedicated man and I look forward to his talents helping with the script and lighting, and anything else. Things were off to a good start. On Friday, met with Mr. Alex Watkins and to make the story short he has agreed to come on board and be the Music Director & will be collaborating on the script as well. Things kept going well...Later Friday night we met with Dustin Fulton who has agreed to partake in the Music Arrangements and provide his drumming talent and good ear to the project. Finally, we met with Tim Harmon on Sunday night and that made it a 4 for 4 weekend. He agreed to also work on Music Arrangements and he will be on his guitar for the project. In all, this past weekend was good and the 4th of July celebrations were good too.

Innocent is in its early stages but I think we have a team building behind it that will make this a success.
